TAROT CARDS FOR MOTIVATION

TOP 10 TAROT CARDS FOR MOTIVATION

This post is about what motivation is and describes top 10 Tarot cards for motivation.

What is motivation? Every behavior is consciously or subconsciously focused on reaching a certain goal and it has a certain strength (intensity) and length in time. Motivation is an inner feeling that propels us forward into action. It is the reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way. Motivation activates the inner power in us. It could look like: wishes, desires, effort, etc. Motivation consists of effort, determination, and goals. It inspires us to be productive.

The word motivation comes from the Latin word “movare” which means “to move, to be in motion”. It encompasses everything that results in some activity or behavior. It also provides an answer to what caused this action in us. Motivation manifests itself physically as well as psychologically. When we feel motivated, we are driven and determined to do anything and everything to reach our goal.

I feel motivated to read Tarot cards because:

  • It makes me use my psychic abilities
  • It improves my intuition
  • It makes me to constantly learn; therefore, my brain is not going idle (Mind is a terrible thing to waste.)
  • I get satisfaction that I can genuinely help people with their problems
  • I learn about people and their motivations behind their actions

HOW TO INTERPRET DREAMS _ THE MOST COMMON DREAMS

This blog post is about how to interpret dreams and the most common dreams.

Dreams have always been associated with mysticism. In the last 50 years, many professionals from the fields of psychology and science have been interested in dream interpretation. Whether we are psychologists, scientists, or regular people, all of us have the same question: Can dreams really tell us something?

Dreams help us process our impressions and experiences from the previous day. They work as “cleaning of the subconscious”. When we are awake, our mind uses the information that is important for us. However, our mind records many more impressions than we realize and these impressions, then, appear in our dreams.

This is the second part of the blog post about dreams. You can read the first part here: THE POWER OF DREAMS | WHAT DREAMS TELL US.

Bad Dreams

People are scared by bad dreams very often and nightmares (recurring bad dreams). According to psychologists, we don’t have to be afraid of them. Frightening dreams are an exclamation point of our emotional state and they bring to the surface those issues that we are not dealing with during our waking hours. Nightmares can be described as our guides who try to protect us. We should perceive them as our personal First Aid because these types of dreams uncover some serious deviations from the norm which need to be deciphered.

Necessary Dreams

Scientists did a research about how a human being would react if he or she would be denied dreaming. They would wake people up in the beginning dream stages. Soon enough, these people started experiencing physical as well as mental difficulties such as anxiety, inability to focus, aggression, or really bad memory. Some people even suffered from hallucinations. and so we see that dreams are very important—very necessary part of our lives whether we like it or not.

Dream Interpretation Exercise

Martha has been in a happy relationship for two years. Her partner; however, goes on business trips very often. Martha got a puppy to keep her company during the times of his absence. After a few months, Martha has a dream: she dreams of her puppy getting lost in a thick dark forest. It is cold, getting dark, and Martha knows she won’t find the puppy. That the puppy will die. She is horrified by an idea that the puppy must be scared, abandoned, and waiting for Martha to rescue him. Martha starts running through the forest in panic looking for the puppy. She wakes up feeling desperate to find the puppy.

Dream Interpretation

A dream can have several layers. This dream does have several layers. If we follow the fact that her partner leaves her often and the puppy is supposed to replace him in Martha’s life, this dream points out her feelings of being abandoned and loneliness. The dream wants her to work on these feelings.

The puppy symbolizes some childish feelings which need to be addressed: she needs to face her feelings of loneliness, desperation, and abandonment which are triggered by her partner’s leaving for yet another business trip. Martha also needs to realize that these negative feelings aren’t real, but have a source much deeper. Their roots go way back into her past.

Another layer of this dream is telling her that she needs to realize that if she loses something that brings her joy, it doesn’t necessarily mean death.

How to Interpret Dreams

The first step toward a successful dream interpretation is to write the dream down. Keep a small journal or notepad by your bed and write down a few notes about your dream right after you wake up. Do this also during the night if you wake up in the middle of the night. These night notes will help you remember in the morning what you dreamt of. Don’t forget to write down as many details as you can! Details are important.

THE MOST COMMON DREAMSDREAM INTERPRETATION

Try to find associations. When you have more time, sit down with your dream journal and go over your dream. Think about what each symbol means to you. Also, notice your thoughts that pop up as you are thinking about your dream, even if it looks like these thoughts don’t relate to your dream whatsoever. They could be important.

It is useful if you tell someone about your dream. You may be able to recall more details thanks to that.

Ask yourself the right questions. Where am I? What does this person mean for me? What kind of relationship I have toward these dream images: water, heights, horses, etc.?

Dream interpretation is a process. It is not easy. One aspect, symbol, or part can mean many different things. You must look for associations, logical connections, and metaphors. The richer is your imagination during the day, the richer, more elaborate, and more colorful your dreams will be. Only you hold the key to unlocking them. Sometimes, you will need more than one dream to figure out what your subconscious is trying to tell you—like pieces of a puzzle.

There is a fabulous website that provides dream interpretations. I don’t use any other source of dream interpretations anymore because this website is so amazingly thorough. It’s called Dreammoods.

The Most Common Dreams

THE MOST COMMON DREAMS

Here are the most common dreams and their interpretations from Dreammoods:

Death Dreams

Dreaming of your own death symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Big changes are ahead for you where you are making a new start and leaving the past behind…

Flying Dreams

When you are flying, you have the ability to look down and get a wider perspective of things. As a result, your flying dream is telling you to look at the broader picture. From your higher vantage point, you can gain a new and different perspective on things…

Falling Dreams

When you fall, you have no control and have nothing to hold on to. Thus your falling dream is analogous to a situation in your waking life where you are lacking or losing control. You are feeling overwhelmed, perhaps in school, in your work environment, in your home life or maybe in your personal relationship. You have lost your foothold and unable to keep up with the demands of your daily life…

Water Dreams

To dream that you are underwater suggests that you are being overcome with emotions and are in over your head regarding some situation. You need to gain greater control of your life…

Teeth Dreams

When your teeth are missing, you may also have a harder time talking or annunciating your words. Thus your falling teeth dream may be highlighting some communication issue. You are not speaking up about something or you feel prevented from doing so. Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across…

Chase Dreams

Being chased in your dream is one of several common dream theme stemming from feelings of anxiety in your waking life. In such dreams, you could be running from an attacker, an animal, a monster or some unknown figure who wants to hurt or possibly kill you. Fight or flight is an instinctive response to a physical threat in the environment. Thus it is natural to run or hide or try to outwit your pursuer.

Test Dreams

Taking an exam in your dream implies that you are being put to the test or being scrutinized in some area of your waking life. As with most common dream themes, dreams about taking a test have to do with anxiety. In such dreams, you may find that you cannot answer any of the questions on the test, that the test is in some foreign language or that your pencil keeps breaking during the test. Perhaps time is running out and you cannot complete the exam in the allowed time. Or perhaps, you arrive late and miss the exam altogether. These factors all result in you failing the dream test.
